5 Easy Ways To Lose Weight And Feel Great!




If you’re anything like me and many other people, we all want to find some easy things we can do to live a healthier life and lose weight. Here I list 5 of my personal top favourite ways. When I follow these easy steps I always notice a difference within the first week. 

1. Absolutely no eating 4 hours before going to bed. Instead drink herbal non caffeinated teas or ice cold water. It helps when you drink something HOT or something COLD if you suddenly get the overbearing urge to snack. 

2. Walking 30 minutes a day. Not only is this fantastic for your mental health it’s also great for your physical health! Get moving. 

3. Tracking everything you eat. You don’t need any special program, just writing down what you’re eating even on a napkin if you have to and tossing it in the trash after. Writing down what you’re eating makes me feel accountable. There are some really helpful free tracking websites and apps for you to use. I really like MyFitnessPal.

4. Drinking the right amount of water for your weight. Use this formula to calculate how much water you should actually be drinking a day. There are many different ways of calculating how much water you should be intaking, and many different factors to consider especially in hot/humid environments, exercise plans, sickness including fever just to name a few. For the average person, I would recommend you take your body weight and multiply it by 0.5 to calculate what your daily intake of water in ounces should be. Once you have that number you can divide it by 8 to see how many cups of water you  need to be drinking. 

5. Snacking on the right things. Pick the healthier option when that craving for chips or candy hits, but if that craving is overpowering (happens to all of us) take a small portion of those chips or candy and that’s it, then if you’re still craving it grab something healthy. I don’t believe in completely depriving yourself of those snack foods you love, however it’s extremely important to keep portion control in mind!
