Happy New Year!

Look of the day - Jamberry: Pop Star

Hi all,

It has been a busy time around here, I welcomed my second son into the world on October 28th! It has been quite an adjustment period for our household but so wonderful having our little guy on the outside and in our arms. During our stay in the hospital I met a wonderful lady Jen, yup her name is pretty awesome ;) and she helped me keep my sanity. She was so nice to not only provide awesome company but she informed me she is a Jamberry consultant. This makes me super happy since my old Jamberry consultant had decided to take on a different endeavor. I have been raving over Jamberry nail wraps, more now than ever. Having a newborn and a toddler makes drying time nearly impossible, as if it wasn't already hard enough giving polish time to dry before I had distractions. It's so nice not dealing with drying time with nail wraps!

No more night time snacking!



Enough is enough! My nighttime snacking has gotten to be WAYYY too much! I need to do something about it so here I am enlisting my loving readers to keep my on track.

I always say if I write it down I can do it. If I tell other people.. I can't let them down. So here I am.



Starting tonight I will absolutely NOT be eating past 9pm (other than 0 pt foods which are fruit/veggies) for 30 days straight. Like I've said in the past when you do something for 30 days straight you are developing a habit. I need this habit to stick!

October Beauty Questions

Has reading a review ever changed your mind about a product?

S: All the time. I very rarely will buy anything without reading a review of the product. It's good to see what others think and see how others are using the product.

J: It definitely has, I often check out reviews before purchasing a new product. Generally if there are not many reviews done yet I'll go buy it no matter what people are saying. If it's a highly popular item with mixed reviews I'll also go try it. However if it has lots of negative reviews and it's a highly popular product I'll save my money, and research other options.

Do you polish your toes in winter or just in the summer?

S: Year round! Gotta keep those toes looking pretty! I'm also not afraid to bust out the bright colours in the winter.

J: All year long baby! I do like to give my toes nails a break from time to time, but it's not often.

How long does it take for you to put on your make-up?

S: About 5 minutes. Im pretty quick and have the same routine every day. If I'm going somewhere special I'll take the extra time and average about 10-15 minutes.

J: Approximately 20 minutes for my everyday face, all my time is spent covering pigmentation. I don't smother my face in makeup, I focus on just the areas that need it and it takes longer than just covering all areas.

What is your best beauty tip?

S: If you love something don't waste money trying tons of other products. I have spent HUNDREDS on face products and the one that truly works for me is incredibly affordable and found at pretty much any medium sized mall in Canada. I love body shop!

That goes for Mascara too! Nothing compares to my Buxom Lash! NOTHING!!

J: Less is more!

Push Yourself! Do a Challenge!

Hi All,

I hope you all had a lovely summer and welcome this amazing fall season! I have to admit.. I love fall more than any other month and feel content just walking around smelling the crispy fall air in the evenings. The smell of bonfires, sound of leaves crackling, watching the leaves change colour, hoodies, scarves and cute boots! I couldn't and wouldn't want to go without it!

Anyways! I wanted to put out a post encouraging you all to try a 30 day challenge! This can be ANYTHING. It can be related to fitness, health, staying positive, reading more, becoming more involved with your friends and family.. you decide! 

I started the 30 Day Squat Challenge with one of my best friends recently and am currently on day 11. Damn, my booty is killing me!! But you know what I've found? I'm more inclined to get myself to the gym, I'm more motivated to stay on track with my eating habits and I feel better in general. 1-10 minutes per day over the course of a month has brought so much motivation into my life! 

Here are a few options to get you started. Remember if you start today you'll be all set to start a new one on November 1st ;).

Steph: I've seen this product getting a TON of attention on both Facebook and Instagram so I was excited when given the chance to try it! As someone who has naturally long eyelashes I wondered how this would work on me. I followed the steps provided and was pleasantly surprised! My eyelashes appeared EXTREMELY long. I would say it did make a difference compared to my normal mascara that I use daily as it did give that dramatic look. I probably wouldn't wear this everyday but would wear in place of false eyelashes.


Jenn: I have been given the privilege to review this product for all of you by a very lovely Younique Consultant, she's been very informative and helpful and I am so grateful she chose us. I am so impressed by the presentation of the product, the case it comes in is beautiful and shines of good quality. It could totally be used for your glasses or storage in general to hold fragile things, maybe perfume rollers when traveling? That's the first thing that comes to mind for me! Definitely a multipurpose case. Inside the case comes two generous sized products, one is the gel and one is the fibers. I did struggle trying to get used to this new type of mascara, I was using way more than required for my lashes. Trust me, a little goes a long way! I got the best results by only applying the fibers to the very tips and using small amounts. I also get the best results not using a mascara at all, instead doing 2-3 coats of the transplanting gel before adding any fibers. Removal of this product is easy with soap and water, it doesn't come off like traditional mascaras where it smears. Instead it comes of in soft stretchy clumps. I love that it leaves absolutely no residue! I do see myself repurchasing this product once I run out, I love having the option in my makeup bag.

Garnier Fructis - Color Shield Trio

Hey all,

As you know I am a member of Influenster and was asked to review the Garnier Colour Shield box. I haven't dyed my hair in a few years so I asked Jenn to review the products. I gave the shampoo and conditioner a try at first and found the smell AMAZING! It also did add some shine into my hair! I'll let Jenn take the post from here.


It was such a pleasure trying out this trio! The smell is what initially intrigued me, it has a nice fruity berry scent. This shampoo makes a thick luxurious lather, and a little goes a long way. Upon applying the conditioner I was skeptical on it coating my hair well enough to to de-tangle and coat my hair, because it is a thinner cream than what I am used to. I was surprised that once I rinsed out the conditioner my hair felt very smooth. After rinsing I wrapped my hair in a towel like I normally do and did the rest of my daily routine.

When I was ready to style my hair I shook up the colour shield spray to mix the product together (because it separates) then did a few spritz and combed through. My hair typically is hard to comb through and I found it did not assist in making the brushing any easier, the smell of the spray is nice and fruity but smells different than the shampoo and conditioner. I styled my hair as usual with a round brush and blow drier, my hair felt extra smooth and soft! Once I was done I smoothed the fly a ways with a few spritz of the spray, and then smoothed everything by running my fingers through my hair. I do see myself repurchasing this in the future, my hair smells great, feels smooth and has an added shine.

Toddler Snack Ideas

Hey readers!

Today I wanted to share the latest snack idea I've prepared for my toddler, and boy did he ever enjoy it! My son's latest interest is under the sea creatures, so today I made him a fishie sandwich. This was relatively easy to make, just take your time cutting the edges and think before you cut. Since this is a fish theme, I wanted to keep it going and make a tuna sandwich but you can make whatever type you think your tot will enjoy best.

Fitbit Flex Review

Hey all,


For Christmas Pete bought me my favourite new gadget, a Fitbit Flex! I was pretty excited when I opened it up and instantly put it on. You’re probably wondering what this is so I’ll give you a bit more information as it actually does A LOT. The fitbit flex is a tiny device that is worn in bracelet form that tracks my steps, activity, calories eaten/burned as well as my sleep. It syncs wirelessly using my computer and iPhone so I can always check my stats. Cool, right? I’ve worn it for over 7 months straight!


What’s Included?:



-Flex Tracker with size large and small wristbands (in colour of your choosing)
-Wireless Syncing Dongle
-Charging Cable


You also get free access to their services online (basically tracking everything) and access to mobile apps which you can see below. This is the dashboard:






My Favourite Features!


Step Tracker (and my main goal)



The main reason I use the fitbit is because of the step tracker. It’s helped me to keep in line and has really made me feel accountable. My daily goal is 10,000 steps although you are able to set that to whatever you want. If you tap the fitbit twice you will see 5 LED lights that light up and land on a specific “dot”. These lights (or dots) measure your progress to goal. Each dot (for me) represents 2,000 steps and when I reach 10,000 they all light up and it vibrates to let me know. I kind of feel like my fitbit dances so most times I dance along with it in celebration and yell out “WOOHOO!!”. It can be pretty fun.

It's pretty neat to compare your steps day to day and to see what time of day you get the most steps in.





You can change your goal to track whatever you want! You can track steps, calories and even distance! You can make your goal 2000 steps or even 20,000 steps.


Activity Tracker
I find it interesting how it tracks your active minutes, your calories burned and distance travelled. This information is sorted by hour (specifically every 15 minutes) and you can see the highs and lows of the day. You can also see comparisons of 1 week, 3 months and 1 year.  


Silent Alarm
Another cool feature is that it has a silent alarm which will wake you (and only you) up by vibrating softly. I have to admit I still set up a backup alarm as I’m really nervous about not waking up on time. It’s a great feature when you have to wake up at early and don’t want to wake up your significant other.





Sleep Tracker
This is probably my favoutite thing about the fitbit. It tracks your sleeping patterns! It tracks how many minutes you were restless, awake and asleep. Again you can compare this with previous stats.


Usually I am restless for 45+ minutes so this was a good night for me!


Other features:
You can purchase so many additional colours! The fitbit comes in red, blue, violet, slate, pink, black, navy, teal, lime and tangerine. I currently have 7 different bracelets!



Not only do I find this stylish but I’m able to accessorize it with all my outfits. I literally only take this off to shower… though it is waterproof and you can wear this in the shower.. I'm just a weirdo.


Customer Service
I have to admit I’ve had a few problems with my fitbit in the past, but when I emailed fitbit customer service they were beyond helpful and went above and beyond. They emailed me back within the hour and had arranged for my replacement to be shipped out immediately. Awesome! Couldn’t be more impressed.


Overall.. I love this fitbit! I’m not sure what I would do without it now and I love tracking my stats and comparing it day by day. I’m excited to see how many steps I can get in this summer!

Toddler Snack Ideas

Hey all,

I'm back again to share another great way of serving snacks to your little tot. Changing the way you serve foods is an easy and fun way to make it new and exciting for them again. Using a cupcake or ice cube tray with an assortment of different snacks is super fun.

I used a mini cupcake tray, Noah couldn't wait to get his hands on it! He also helped me choose the items I put in it. When I started to run out of ideas, I asked him what it was missing and he said eggs. So I scrambled some up for him and put in the tray.


There were many giggles while my little guy picked away at this tray, I think he loved the different presentation and variety. He also ate majority of it, mommy win!

Weight Watchers Check In: July 30

Hi all,

I'm here to do another quick check in! Sorry it's been so long! 

Weight Change this week : Lost 3.4 lbs. Feeling good!

Highs of the Week:  Since I decided to start Simple Start last week I've been feeling so much better! I am making better choices and have been inspired to discover new and exciting simple start meals. 

Lows of the Week: I've been struggling a bit as I've been in some pain these last few days. I'm pretty sure that I have a ruptured ear drum :(. This has lead to me to want to overeat and eat junk food. I've given in a few times but nothing major. Still losing!

Plans for next week: I'm going to continue on simple start until Monday. I will have two days off where I am going back to point tracking and will pick right back up on the wednesday (6th).

Motivation Monday



Hi all,

I wanted to share my progress with you guys since I haven't done so in quite a while. I've just been so incredibly busy! I've had a few off days here and there but I've been staying mostly on track with my eating plan.

Last week I decided to try simple start or as some call it.. the "simply filling" technique on Weight Watchers. Basically you just eat off of the power foods list and anything extra you track (suggested 7 points per day or 49 points per week). Here is a copy of that list I found posted online. There are a few extra rules to stick to but overall it's been interesting and going fairly well. Just to remind you, a power food is a food that makes you feel fuller for longer and also packs the most punch (nutrients wise) for their PointsPlus value. You can stick to this plan for a few days, a week or longer.

So you may wonder why I started this now. I was majorly struggling with making the right choices so I figured if I limited myself a bit more and got back down to the basics it would help me in the long run. I've already found that I feel fuller for wayyy longer and feel much more satisfied. I sometimes even find I don't snack between meals anymore. Instead of waiting until 7-8pm to eat dinner I now eat a bit earlier because I feel having a simple start meal is a lot better than snacking. Grocery shopping is A LOT easier too.

I've been browsing different recipes and getting ideas on what to make for meals and so far it has been really great! Even yesterday I made the weirdest looking dish and it tasted SOOO good. I think I'll share a few simple start recipes with you guys in the next week few weeks :).

July Beauty Questions



Do you belong to any online makeup communities?
J: I am not a part of any makeup communities online, unless you consider following some people on instagram that post different makeup ideas.

S: I wouldn't say I'm an active part of a makeup community. I browse the r/makeupaddiction subreddit on Reddit though and am a member of Influenster.

Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains?
J: I have tried products like this in the past and struggled with application. I don’t like them.

S: I have used.. and will NEVER use again. Stains are just a disaster for me as I ALWAYS mess them up!

Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes?
S: Very rarely and only if I'm going out for a night of dancing.

J: Yes, I use Urban Decay the original eyeshadow primer potion. It works amazingly! I like to apply this product around my entire eye, it helps to prevent creasing under the eye. I love this stuff.

How many hair products do you use on a typical day?
S: It really depends on the day. Other than shampoo and conditioner the only hair product I use is a healing oil treatment.

J: I use hair oil, and hair spray on a daily. Every other day I use dry shampoo.

Do you ever consider taking makeup classes?
J: I am self taught and like it that way, I love learning through trial and error. What works for some, might not work for others. That being said, I would love to take a class for costume makeup! I would have fun learning how to do some scary stuff like Zombie makeup.

S: I have deeply looked into it as there was a time where I had wanted to take the extensive makeup course at SOMA. Spending over $10,000 for training didn't seem that realistic to me at the time. I think it would be fun to do a 1-2 day course though.

Don't Hold Yourself Back!



I've realized over the past few days that although I sometimes feel self conscious and unhappy with myself, that I've still made progress and I should not lose sight of that. It's easy to forget about how far you've come when you're moving backwards... but it's not very smart. When you're constantly focusing on the negative and putting yourself down it's incredibly hard to make better choices and to get back into the game.

I'm not allowing myself to have these negative thoughts anymore. I'm not allowing myself to put myself down or to feel sorry for myself. When I feel sad or negative I buck right up and say to myself "The ONLY person who is going to do this is YOU. If you want this.. FIGHT for it!" or "Smarten the F*&K up!"

Both work equally well :P.

Over the past few weeks I've managed to get myself mostly back on track and if I have a slip up.. I don't let myself fall hard or beat myself up over it. I pick myself back up and start making better and healthier choices. Over the past 1-2 weeks I've continued to make smarter choices, refrained from overeating at night, have stocked up my fridge with healthier options and have prepared food in advance to help stay on track.

If you want the good to come you have to fight for it. Fight through the cravings, fight through the negative thoughts and stand up for yourself! Good things won't arrive in a negative mind! You'll get to a certain point where eating healthy and taking the steps to stay on track will just become an everyday thing. The lifestyle change will be in effect!

What I'm trying to say is just DON'T give up. Don't quit! If you want something bad enough don't let anything stop you. If you try hard enough you can get through anything!

Noah has discovered Owls, and loves "hooting" so I used it as my inspiration. Today I made him an owl sandwich!

Overnight Oats in a Jar


Growing up I loved oatmeal.. so much that to this day it still brings back memories of my grandparents and my great-grandma. I haven't really eaten it too much lately as I think it takes too long to make and... I don't really take the time in the morning.

I wanted to make a post dedicated to an easy yet delicious breakfast that I have been eating a few times a week. Initially, I was making the exact recipe from Skinnytaste.com called Skinny Overnight Oats in a Jar which is absolutely DELICIOUS. Though when you make something so many times you pretty much memorize the recipe and start to become creative!

I altered the recipe a bit and have really enjoyed the outcome! Here's my slightly altered version based on the things I've tried:

Ingredients:

1/4 cup quick oats
1/2 cup Almond Milk (you can use skim milk though I find it is very running)
1/4 banana - mashed
1/2 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 cup of your favourite fruit (or what you have on hand!)  -I've used raspberries, fresh ontario strawberries, blueberries and even apples (which is one of my faves)
drop of honey or maple syrup
pinch of cinnamon 
Chopped nuts (optional)

Put all ingredients (except nuts) into a mason or tupperware jar and give it a good shake! Put into refrigerator overnight and enjoy in the morning. I've made these a few days ahead of time and they've been good 3 days later.



This is a must try and I highly recommend it! It's easy, delicious and takes less than a minute to put together.

Jenn's Top 5 Healthy Lifestyle Tips

Hey all,

I've stopped counting calories and instead focus on eating right, this is something I've been doing since I started trying to get pregnant for my second child. I do fall off track every so often and indulge in bad foods from time to time, I have bad weeks.. I am human. Trying to make the right choices is what matters and setting myself up with a plan with proper foods helps tremendously. I've been falling off track, and when I do I get very sluggish and kinda moody. I am a believer that whatever you eat reflects on the outside.

Today I have decided to share some tips with you that help me, maybe they'll help you too. My version of eating clean is choosing the healthiest options and less of the not so healthy ones.


Here are my top 5 healthy tips:
  1. Limit Processed Foods: Living in a world with many processed foods makes it nearly impossible to completely remove from my diet, but limiting them is something I try to do. Reading the back of packaging is helpful, if the list is hard to understand and super long I sometimes avoid it and opt for the home made option. That way I know what ingredients are added. 
  2. Increase Veggie Intake: I am guilty for not eating enough vegetables, and I definitely notice a difference in my system when I don't eat them. Some helpful tips are eating your salad before the rest of your meal, or incorporating vegetables in your breakfast like in an omelet or smoothie.
  3. Cut down on added sugars: Going to admit, I love candy! Cutting back helps me a lot, instead I go for fresh berries and fruit. Natures candy! 
  4. Focus on healthy fats: I like replacing cheese on my salad with nuts or try using avocado instead of mayo, they are both delicious alternatives. Also focus on getting lean meats, and cutting off all fat around the edges (if any) before cooking.
  5. Get Moving: Exercise in my opinion is just as important as eating right, and should be done daily in some shape or form. When I don't exercise I feel more tired than if I had, weird right? No matter how tired I'm feeling even getting in a 15 minute brisk walk makes a big difference in my fatigue and overall mood. 
These are the things I do and try to do daily, writing them down here is a big reminder for me. Hopefully this has also been helpful for you too.

June Beauty Questions

Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine?
S: I finally found one that works!! WHOOHOOO! Now I’m keeping it. The Tea Tree Line by body shop is really amazing!

J: I’m always trying new things to see what works best. I find that our skin has different needs as the seasons change.

Favorite bath and body brand?
S: Body shop by FAR!!! I LOVE the Satsuma scent and their Shea Body Scrub is the best thing I’ve ever used. I have (or at least have tried) pretty much every type of body care product that body shop has. The Vitamin E stuff is pretty awesome as well and the coconut body butter smells amaaaaazing.

J: I love bath and body works, they provide a large variety of scents and options. I absolutely love their Shea Cashmere products, Aromatherapy - Sensual, and Twilight woods.

If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose?
J: I can’t pick, I use a lot of brands that all work together. This is a hard question to answer! If I had to choose, maybe Sephora brand because they have all your makeup needs and good quality for your buck.

S: GAH! How do I answer this one? I love variety. I would probably have to say MAC cosmetics or Urban Decey.. or Benefit.. See!? I can't decide!! I'm sticking with MAC!

What brand do you think has the best packaging?
J: After a recent discovery of this brand though Steph’s wantable box and researching their website, I’m loving the look of B├ęsame Cosmetics.

S: Gotta go with Urban Decay on this one. I love the look of their palettes and eyeshadow cases.

VoxBox Review: imPress Press-On Manicure by Broadway

Hey all,

So a few months back I (Steph) signed up with a community called Influenster which is a site where you earn badges by making reviews on products, filling out quizzes and being active in the social media community. It's free to join and eventually when you earn enough badges they send you beauty boxes of products to review. I was lucky enough to recieve the imPressManicure VoxBox which contained two different kinds of the imPress Press-On Manicure by Broadway. Each package came with 24 nails and 12 different sizes... One size sure does not fit all in this world!



I've asked Jenn to tag team this post with me because honestly I wasn't all that excited over the nails and I needed her encouragement. They sat on my table for 3 weeks before I asked Jenn if she would review them with me. I'm not really into press on nails or putting anything on your nails other than just nailpolish.. but this actually changed my mind and I was pleasantly surprised.  Let's get to it!

Application was very easy, but it is advised that you pick the sizes required and lay out in order before starting. There is no glue with these nails, instead there is a sticky adhesive that is already on the nail. Once you peel off the clear protector (be careful not to touch the adhesive as it will make the nails not as sticky). The sticky adhesive only covers about 1/2 of the nail. 




Steph's review:
When I first saw these nails I thought.. "This nails are incredibly long and square! Ugh.. not my style" and then Jenn told me you could cut/file them down. Yay! That made the experience sooo much better for me. I HATE long nails! The application process was sooo incredibly easy it made me consider buying some! The one thing I would recommend doing is cutting your (own) nails down beforehand which is something I had forgotten to do. On the drive home from Jenn's I ended up getting my hand stuck in my hair.. which was .. fun to say the least. I lasted less than 5 hours because after I ate dinner and saw all the food stuck in-between my nails I wanted to be sick! Maybe tacos was the wrong choice as my first meal with the nails? I would buy these if I was going to a wedding, bachelorette party or for a night out.. but they don't last long enough for everyday wear.

Jenn's review: 
I loved the simple application process, and the cool designs that this product provides. I didn't like the way they felt on my nails. I did suck it up and left mine on and was careful with them to try and make them last as long as possible. They ended up falling off one by one almost 24hrs later. My hair also kept getting caught in the gaps, ouch! I think this is a great product for the person who wants fancy nails for a date night out or special occasion, but does not like committing to nails for a longer period of time. Removal of these nails were simple and fun, the nails that did not come off on their own were easily peeled off. I likely do not see myself purchasing these in the future.

So overall I'd say we would both likely not buy these unless we found a spectacular design or had a special event to go to.

Weight Watchers Check in: June 6th




Hey all,

I had a bit of a rough week.. but I'm still down (slightly). Anyways.. lets get right to it!

Weight Change: Lost .4 lbs. Not a lot but it's not a gain!

Highs of the Week:  I've been getting out A LOT more. I have been trail walking, going for longer walks and trying to be outside as much as possible. Probably why I didn't gain this week!

Lows of the Week: Lack of tracking :( 2 weeks in a row! I really need to see improvement in this field. What's the point of being a member of Weight Watchers if I'm not going to follow the plan?

Plans for next week: Starting tomorrow I will be planning my entire day ahead (the night before). If I fail to plan .. I'm planning to fail!

Sliced Baked Potato

Hey all,

I'm baaackk!! After an extremely busy few weeks, I'm happy to say we are almost all settled at our new address. We are all loving the new space, and extra square footage. Yay!

Since I haven't written a food post in awhile I thought it was a great time to share something I tried with all of you. Circling around facebook is this below picture, lots of people on my friends lists were sharing this. So, being the potato freak I am, I had to try it.


 This is the end result! BEAUTIFUL! It was very delicious, it's something I will for sure be doing again. I feel the size of potato I used caused my cooking times to almost double the suggested. I also broiled on high for a few minutes at the very end to crunch it up a little more. I would love to try being creative and adding cheese and extra fixings in the slices. This was a hit with my toddler boy too, he loved picking out the slices and eating them. Bonus! Mommy win! This was also super easy to cut, but would be really hard to do if I was using a dull knife. Just take your time cutting it so you don't go all the way through, and end up with a mangled potato.

Weight Watchers Check-in: May 31

Hey all,

So I've decided to share my weigh-in's on Friday/Saturday because my week is always so wacky. Anyways... I had a great week! Here are my results:

Weight Change: lost 3.2 lbs! YAY!

Highs of the Week: Beginning of the week was awesome. I preplanned, meal prepped and made sure I was very prepared!

Lows of the Week: Tuesday I didn't track :( (and continued to not track for a few days). I haven't gained though which I'm happy about. Need to whoop my own ass!

Plans for next week: Pretrack, pretrack, pretrack!

I've been having a rough few days so hopefully I can get myself back on track by pretracking and meal prepping again.

I'm a Weight Watcher again!

Hi all,

Wow.. it seems like it's been forever. It feels so good to sit myself down and type out my thoughts/feelings again. Some of you may know that I rejoined Weight Watchers awhile back.. but have not been doing so well on it. I keep struggling with staying on track and motivation. I'll have an amazing start but by the end I'm back to where I started.. and incredibly disappointed in myself. I need to get into the mentality that this NEEDS to be a lifestyle change.

I've lost a lot of motivation since the last time I lost the weight and I have to admit along with that is my self confidence and knowledge of my self worth. I really need to get back on track for myself physically but also mentally. When I'm on track I feel amazing in so many different ways.

Sooo.. that's why I'm posting! I will be doing a weekly weigh in from now to try to keep myself more accountable and to keep you guys involved with me.

Check back on either Wednesday or Thursday of this week to read about it.

What I'm Wearing

Today's look is Rock-N-Roll by Jamberry nails.


I am still really enjoying nail wraps, it's fun having designs on my nails that I could never accomplish by hand. I'm really liking this funky look! I'm still trying to get the hang of applying nail wraps, they definitely take a little patience and time. I keep having issues with folds at the ends and lifting near the cuticle, despite following instructions (this could be because my nails are not very strong so applying pressure like they suggest is hard). I haven't perfected the application process yet, but I still love that these nails last way longer than normal nail polish alone even if they aren't perfect.

Weekly Goals

Hey all,

We're back with the weekly goals and ready to be as motivated as ever! Here they are:

Steph: I've been doing really, really well with eating lately and wanted to incorporate something I truly enjoy. Yoga is something that makes me feel better physically and mentally. It helps me to clear my mind, relieve stress as well as stretch out my sore muscles. I really need to incorporate this back into my life which is why I'd like to do yoga 4-5 times next week (but will be aiming for 7).

Looking forward to this one! I will update on Friday

Jenn: I've recently lost focus on drinking enough water and eating enough power foods. This week I will be really paying attention to meeting my recommended water intake and opting for the healthy snack options. I've already made the first step yesterday while grocery shopping and didn't purchase any junk type snacks.
